Margaret Mitchell

Margaret Mitchell has been teaching theatre at UIW since 1992. Professor Mitchell is also a freelance designer, author, editor and occasional curator. Her design work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and her costume designs are published in The Essential Theatre and The Magic Garment. She is a co author of Making The Scene: A History of Stage Design and Technology in Europe and the United States. Professor Mitchell is also a general editor for TD&T, Theatre Design and Technology, and she is an editorial board member of the international journal, Studies in Costume and Performance. Her former students are theatre educators and designers, stage managers, directors and performers working on Broadway, off Broadway, in major regional theatres and in television.
