Cardinal Graduate Scholarship

The Cardinal Graduate Scholarship is a 25% discount on the first six hours of Broadway Campus graduate classes.

Eligible Students

The Cardinal Graduate Scholarship is available to current, or recently graduated, UIW undergraduate, domestic students to continue their journey at UIW to pursue a graduate degree in a specified and eligible graduate program. 

Classes must be completed between the Summer of 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters.

There is no additional application for the Cardinal Graduate Scholarship.

Applicants will automatically be considered as part of the graduate admissions process.

Scholarship Criteria

  • Open to students who graduated with their UIW undergraduate degree since Spring 2019.
  • Applicants must be pursuing their first master’s degree.
  • Applicants should have applied and been accepted to a Broadway Campus graduate program as a full-time or part-time UIW degree-seeking graduate student.
  • Applicants must be admitted into one of the listed Broadway Campus master’s level degree programs:

H-E-B School of Business and Administration

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Health Administration
  • Master of Science in Accounting

Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing and Health Professions

  • Master of  Science in Athletic Training
  • Master of Science in Kinesiology
  • Master of Science in Sport Management

School of Media and Design

  • Master of Arts in Communication Arts

School of Mathematics, Science and Engineering

  • Master of Science in Nutrition

Dreeben School of Education

  • Master of Arts in Teaching
  • Master of Arts in Education
  • Master of Education

College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences

  • Master of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies

Important Information to Consider

  • This Scholarship:
    • cannot be combined with any other UIW scholarships or tuition discounts.
    • does not apply to accelerated bachelor’s to master’s program (ABM) students.
    • does not apply to undergraduate students taking graduate classes in their last semesters.
  • Students utilizing the following tuition benefits fall outside the award criteria and are, therefore, not eligible for this scholarship (This is not a comprehensive list and other discount categories are included.):
    • DOD Employees (15% discount)
    • Active Duty Military and Active Duty Dependents (15% discount)
    • Veterans (15% discount)
    • CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Employees (25% discount)
    • Student-athletes on scholarship
    • Students utilizing the tuition waiver/exchange benefit
    • Graduate student assistantships
