A Mission Retreat

UIW RetreatUIW Retreat

The Mission Effectiveness Office recently offered a unique immersion experience in UIW heritage and explored the challenges we face in Catholic Higher Education today and in the future. Participants embarked on a three-day trip to Houston where they stayed in the Villa de Matel. These three days involved stepping back into the history of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. They also deepened the founding of the CCVI Congregations and the spirituality that connects us as employees to the mission. Participants also visited the archives of the Houston Sisters and visited the grave site where they were buried. The retreat concluded with processing what was learned and regenerating the vision to the future.
