Heritage Day Ceremony

The tenth annual Incarnate Word Heritage Day ceremony will be held Wednesday, October 15 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word (Motherhouse). The University recognizes and awards all regular, full-time administrator, faculty and staff employees completing 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service. The 2003 Heritage Day Honorees are:

Faculty Family Potluck Supper

Renewing Old Friendships And Welcoming New Faculty And Their Families.

When: Sept. 20, 2003 6-9 p.m.

Where: Garden Room of the Incarnate Word Villa, north end of the Incarnate Word Retirement Center.

Please bring a favorite dish, vegetable, salad, dessert, or bread for six people. Ice tea provided, bring other drinks if you wish.

Words-Worth Back Again!

Sr. Margaret P. Slattery, leads the Words-Worth Book Discussion Group

Words-Worth, the book discussion club at UIW began its fall series on Sept. 2. Enrollment reached a new high of 37 members. Dr. Doug Gilmour, Assoc. Professor of Philosophy, presented the first book selection: Life of PI by Yann Martel.

Centering Prayer Retreat

Peace Day Committee

Campus Ministry extends an invitation to faculty and staff to be a part of the Peace Day Committee.

The 7th Annual Peace Day will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Meetings are held on Tuesdays, at 4 p.m. in AD 155, starting Sept. 9. Refreshments served. For more information, call Julie Engel @ 829-3130.
