Remembering A San Antonio Hero

UIW held a prayer service and a tree-planting ceremony in memory of Private First Class Anthony Scott Miller. Miller, the first native of San Antonio to be killed in action in Operation Iraqi Freedom was the brother of Patrick Miller, Jr., a student at Incarnate Word. UIW planted a tree in his honor in front of the Gorman Business and Education Center. The Student Resident Assistants also placed yellow ribbons on the campus trees for students, staff and family members in the military who have recently been deployed overseas. The Miller family will always be able to remember Anthony throughout the UIW campus.
