Mardi Gras Celebrations

Mardi Gras Fever was seen everywhere this year. It started with the H.E.B. Central Market Barkus parade on March 1, the parade began at UIW and ended at H.E.B. Central Market, with our very own Mickey Agnese as a celebrity judge. The retirement center joined in the fun by hosting their own parade, with decorated masks and wheelchairs. A king and queen were also crowned.

Free classes are being offered beginning March 26, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Convocation Center.

In appreciation for the wonderful hospitality offered last August for the International Conference TCC teachers, these classes are being offered to the UIW community.

This form of TCC is new and very simple. It is based on all the concepts of T'ai Chi Chuan, but is composed of only 19 moves and one pose. It is soft and repetitive, a wonderful calming tool that develops CHI or energy. Please come and join the class.

The dates are March 26, March 28, March 31, April 2, April 4, April 7, April 9 and
April 11.
