The 1st Baby 0f 2003 Proud parents, Claudia and Jesus Mata welcomed Jasmine Gabrielle
Mata, as the first baby born in San Antonio in 2003. Jasmine
was born at Christus Santa Rosa hospital at midnight by obstetrician
Dr. Henry Chen. Jasmine weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. at birth. The complete New Year’s Baby Gift Package included:

Barshop Jewish Community Center presents Live From The 92nd
Street in New York. Joe and Hadassah Lieberman, Co-authors
of On Campaigning: a groundbreaking memoir of their campaign
and how their Jewish identity became a focus in the public eye.
The simulcast starts at 6:30 p.m. in the JCC/Holzmann Auditorium
on the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg at 12500 N.W. Military Hwy.

Feb. 22-25 The
Barshop JCC presents the 2nd Annual Jewish Festival over a 4-day
period from Feb. 22-25. The goal for this JCC event is to provide
audiences with enhanced insight into both the Jewish and broader
human experience through entertaining mainstreams films that
feature some of Hollywood’s brightest talents. RESERVATIONS
ARE REQUIRED and will be taken on a first come, first serve

FAMOUS FOLKS
| Stacy Johnson (MS '90)
was selected as the Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
at Palo Alto College. She had been interim dean, but now that
the search process has been completed, she is truly the dean.
Previously, she was chair of the English, Communication, and
Foreign Languages Department. Initially, she served as Special
Assistant to the President, the initial president Terry Diciana.
