Rolling Up Their Sleeves

Faculty, Administrators and Staff were ready to lend a helping hand in preparing the meatballs for the Presidents Spaghetti Dinner. Judging from the photos, everyone was in a cheerful mood and ready to roll their sleeves up for the students.

Annual President's Spaghetti Dinner

For the past 18 years, Dr. Agnese has helped serve the students his secret family recipe. This spaghetti dinner, also includes entertainment by faculty members and delicious homemade desserts, prepared by administrators and faculty. The entire Incarnate Word community comes together to prepare this annual Christmas event for UIW students.

2003 Winter Seminar

The San Antonio Chinese Professional Association is having their annual seminar at UIW library auditorium on Dec. 14. Dr. Pat Burr is co-sponsoring this event.

Host: San Antonio Chinese Professional Association.

Topic: The Economic Trends of China/Shanghai

Date: Sunday, Dec. 14

Time: 2:50 p.m.-6 p.m.

Place: UIW Library Auditorium

Admission: Members free, Non-members $2, UIW faculty and students free.

Centering Prayer Retreat

Come and experience Scripture Meditation and Centering Prayer in the context of a retreat from the noise of daily life. Lunch on your own within walking distance or bring your lunch and enjoy the peaceful setting of the Incarnate Word grounds.

Presented by Sr. Alice Holden

Third Saturdays, Dec. 20 & Jan. 17, 10 a.m.-12 noon.

Graduation Ushers

Graduation Ushers are needed for Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. & 5 p.m. If your schedule permits, and you would like to volunteer your services for either ceremony. This is a 3-hour commitment per ceremony.

A delicious lunch, compliments of Dr. Terry Dicianna, will be served at Dubuis Lounge (11:30-2 p.m.) for all staff members and students who volunteer. Students can also receive community service hours for volunteering. Arrangements can be made for students to stay in their dorms until Sunday, if they wish to volunteer.

Christmas Eve Masses at Incarnate Word

5:30 p.m.- Our Lady's Chapel (Administration Building)

Midnight Mass- Chapel of the Incarnate Word (Motherhouse). Seating is limited by fire code. Liturgical music begins at 11:30 p.m.

 

2003 Light The Way Employee Social

Sr. Ann & Sr. Sally stop and visit with other employees before the activities of Light The Way.

Dan Ochoa makes Light The Way a family event, by bringing his wife and children.
