UIW was selected by Senator Phil Gramm to be the location where he delivered a speech on the national shortage of nurses and its impact on the healthcare system. In attendance were Dr. Terry Dicianna, Nursing Instructor, Jennifer Cook, and Tracy Stone, the 2001-2002 President of the Student Nurse’s Association.

100th Harley Davidson's Anniversary

In collaboration with the 100th anniversary of Harley Davidson the PR Office is raffling a 2003 Fatboy Motorcycle. Only 500 tickets will be sold. All proceeds go to scholarships to benefit the National Hispanic Fund, The San Antonio Education Partnership Foundation and the Endowed Scholarship Fund. Official drawing will take place at the International Conference Center at 7 p.m. on September 27.
