Mentor Employment
Mentoring is an important component of the Student Success Program. Qualities of a successful mentor include, but are not limited to: (1) having a sincere desire to be involved with another university student; (2) having respect for other individuals; (3) being able to listening actively; and (4) being able to empathize with others.
Below are the Student Success Program requirements to be a mentor for the program:
- Must have junior ranking or higher
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must have some experience working with other students
Salaries are 7.50 per hour for 5-10 hours per month.
Flexible work schedules are available for successful applicants.
If you are interested in applying to be a mentor for the Student Success Program, please fill out the Student Success Services Mentor Application Form and return it to the Student Success Program office/ lab, Administration building room 225, along with an official transcript and have two of your faculty members complete the Mentor Recommendation Form following the application form.
