The University of the Incarnate Word welcomed a record number of 458 freshmen to the UIW dorms for the 2011-2012 school year. Members of the UIW community, including faculty and staff, assisted new students with the move-in process as they arrived on campus. UIW enrollment reaches 8,455 students

Official figures released in September showed that the University of the Incarnate Word has topped the 8,000-mark in student enrollment for the first time in its 130-year history. UIW awarded Title V grants totaling $9 million

UIW awarded Title V grants totaling $9 million

On Sept. 19, the University of the Incarnate Word was notified by the Office of Congressman Charlie Gonzales that UIW received a pair of five-year grants awards from the Department of Education’s Title V Office. Grant one, in the amount of $3,063,223 over five years, is for the Title V Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) Program.
