Employees honored for five years of service stand to be recognized during the Heritage Day ceremony.

Oct. 9 marked UIW’s 20th annual Heritage Day. The celebration honors the history and heritage of the university and its founders the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word (CCVI).

University employees were honored for their years of service at an employee recognition ceremony held in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word. Employees with five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 50 years of service were recognized. Dr. Caroline Spana, director of student affairs, Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing, was recognized for her 50 years of service (see story here ). A reception followed the ceremony on the Brackenridge Villa lawn.
