More than 130 presentations from 36 countries were featured at the International Conference of Cultural and Social Aspects of Research March 22-24 at the McCombs Center Rosenberg Sky Room.

The focus of the conference was to promote international collaboration among scholars, practitioners, educators and graduate students from multiple disciplines. An international forum for those who wanted to present their projects and papers, guests were also provided the opportunity to discuss the international, multicultural, and social and migration issues in the field of research and education.

Sonia Nazario served as the conference keynote speaker and shared her story of the hands-on research she took part in to write “Enrique’s Journey,” a story of a Honduran boy’s struggle to find his mother in the U.S. The book became a national bestseller and earned Nazario the Pulitzer Prize.
