In 1969, at Commencement, Dr. S. Thomas Greenburg, IWC President, was presented an honorary doctorate from the Academy of Empress St. Theodora, Rome.

During her tenure, Sister Margaret Patrice Slattery, CCVI, Ph.D. received an honorary doctorate from St. Edward's University in Austin.  In December of 1999, Sister Margaret Patrice was named President Emerita.
