2013 Summer Training Schedule

May 2 & 3, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Blackboard Walk-in Training Sessions

Stop by the Center for Teaching and Learning to get your course ready for the end of the semester. We will also help review your Grade Center, copy course materials to next semester’s course and help you post grades to Banner. Come over to AD 221 any time – no appointment necessary!


June 3 – 6, 9:00 am – noon:  Microsoft Office 

Microsoft Office 2013 is coming soon, and this class is a great opportunity to explore and learn the new features of this application, as well as learn several tips and tricks to help you be more productive when using Microsoft Office.  Every session will highlight new features of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, along with a few tips and tricks that will increase your knowledge of these Microsoft Office applications.  Sessions begin on Monday June 3rd, with an overview of Office 2013. You will also learn a few tips and tricks for Outlook. On Tuesday, we will cover Word; on Wednesday, Excel; and on Thursday, both PowerPoint and Prezi. Lunch will be served.


August 6 -8th and August 13-15 9:00 – 12:30 pm: The iPad App-Palooza

This year’s App-Palooza will feature six sessions;

  • Beginner sessions on August 6th and 13th, will teach you the basics of iPad use and navigation, as well as a couple of Apps that will enhance your experience with your iPad.
  • Advanced sessions will be available for teaching, learning and productivity Apps. Teaching and learning App sessions will be presented on August 7th and 14th, Productivity Apps will be reviewed on August 8th and 15th. Lunch will be served.

August 20, 21 & 22, 10:00 am– 2:00 pm: Blackboard Walk-in Training Sessions

Start your semester with Blackboard training for the Grade Center, Assessment, or Content Management. All sessions will be at the Center for Teaching and Learning.  Come over to AD 221 any time – no appointment necessary!
