IT Cycling Raises $ for Music Building

On Friday, Oct 7, IT’s cycling crew raised more than $600 for UIW’s new Music Building.

Terry Peak, John Miller, and Marshall Eidson borrowed spinning bikes from the rec center and covered 183 miles between them in three hours. Spectators were encouraged to put money in available bike helmets, throw water balloons at the weary riders, and enjoy plates of pulled pork tacos and red beans and rice, graciously provided by Robin Logan, our Director of Institutional Research.

The event was an effort to raise awareness in the UIW community about the importance of contributing to the University Fund and the many worthwhile capital campaign projects, such as the multi-phase renovation of the Fine Arts building. All proceeds from the event went to support the Music Building project. Thanks to everyone who came out to support this event.
