Be a presenter at Tech Fair

That's great work you're doing with educational technology. Tell others about it by signing up to be a presenter at Tech Fair.

There are a number of 25-minute slots beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. Presenters can be UIW faculty, staff, or students.

  • Details: (March 15th, 2015 deadline)

    The University of Incarnate Word’s Department of Instructional Technology seeks participants for the 5th annual Tech Fair, to be held April 1st, 2015 at Marian Hall from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

    With a focus on using technology to boost student interaction and engagement, the fair features three areas for 25-minute presentations throughout the day. Faculty and students are invited to join in the fun and present any topics that address use of technology in education.

  • Possible topics include:
    • Showcase of student technology in action
    • Science laboratory technology
    • Mobile/tablet apps demonstration
    • Blackboard tool use
    • Students showcasing projects which use technology
  • Presentation Types and Times
    • Reserve space in our cozy lounge area for smaller, face-to-face presentations
    • Secure a spot in our formal presentation area with an area for a larger audience


    Both areas come prepared with audio/visual equipment: a small TV in the lounge area and a podium and projector in the formal-presentation area.

    Both types of presentations occur in 25-minute intervals between 10:00am and 2:00pm. For more information, please contact James Umphres at or 210-832-2197
