UIW SUMMER INSTITUTE RECOMMENDED PACKING LIST
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
The following represents the bare minimum packing list that each student should bring to the 2007 UIW Summer INstitute. We will have laundry facilities available for student use throughout the program. It is strongly recommended that students do not bring items of value to the program except at their own risk.
- Clothing which is appropriate for the following activities:
- Classroom lectures
- Laboratory sessions (full cover shoes, socks, and long pants). UIW will provide personal protection items like goggles, gloves, and lab coats.
- Sports activities
- Off-campus field trips to laboratories
- Swimming wear.
- Personal hygiene items including but not limited to towels, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, and hairbrush and any other personal hygiene items deemed necessary by the student.
- To minimize the risk to your valuables, we recommend against bringing computers or laptops. UIW computer facilities will be available during the camp.
- Do bring a calculator if you can, and your favorite pen or pencil.
- Students may bring cell phones and portable music players for use during personal time. We’ll encourage students to stay in touch with home!
- We recommend students bring a small amount of spending money:
- For laundry as needed
- For souvenirs or snacks at the social outings
