The student run desk is your source for general campus information, updates on campus events, a reservation calendar for Student Center facilities, and Game Room equipment. If the Information Desk staff does not have an answer for you, they will find it.

During 1991-1992 academic year, a committee group of students, faculty and staff collaboratively designed the renovation of Marian Hall into the Student Center.The Board of Trusteess and other friends of the University funded the renovation. The building was dedicated on September 23, 1992.


Mission Statement
The Student Center of the University of the Incarnate Word contributes directly to the university's mission of service, truth, faith, education, and innovation by providing a physical environment where educational, social and institutional needs of the whole community can be met through spaces for relaxation, study, recreation, and instruction, and by serving as a information and service center.



Ping pong and pool tables are set up in the Game Room next to the Student Center desk. Students can check out the equipment with their UIW student ID at the Student Center  desk. Ping pong balls are 25¢. We now offer our gamers a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii for your enjoyment.

Marian Hall Student Center Facilities

Academic departments and university offices can reserve any of the spaces below through the Student Center desk at (210) 841-7360, to make your reservation. Student Organizations please make your request through OrgSync for the Gameroom, Conference Room, and Student Center Lounge areas.

 Sister Mary Dowling C.C.V.I Conference Room    

  • The Conference Room can host your next  meeting. A large conference table will easily seat 10-12 people. Contact the Student Center desk at (210) 841-7360, or to make your reservation. Student Organizations please make your request thru OrgSync.

 Student Center Lounge

  • Sit down and relax on our new leather sofas and chairs in the  lounge. Two big screen televisions, comfortable seating and study tables are provided. If you want to watch a particular show or program, the televisions can be reserved in advance at the Student Center desk at (210) 841-7360, or visit the desk.

 Marian Hall Café

  • Enjoy your meals in our food court. Call Sodexho Food Services with questions: (210) 829-3820.Campus Life The Office of  Campus Life houses three areas: the Dean of Campus Life,   Student Center & Leadership Activities, and Residence Life. Students can visit this office to get ID cards, to get involved on campus, and to pick up housing information.

The Patio

  • The Student Center Patio is equipped with a cover, umbrella tables and comfortable chairs, as well as vending machines. Plan an outdoor event today!!

 Marian Hall Ballroom  

  • The Ballroom is located in the Student Center with a small stage, AV capabilities and plenty of room for dances, lectures, and other events. Reserve this space through the Special Events Office at (210) 829-6045. Student organizations must fill out an Event Approval form on OrgSync in order to reserve the Ballroom.


Student Center Vendor Information

Off-campus vendors (jewelry, clothing, make-up, newspapers, cell phone companies, banks, etc.) can set-up tables in the Student Center with at least one week notice.  The vendor table fee is $40 for 1 table and 2 chairs. Vendors are not permitted to bring their own tables. A single rack my be utilized if positioned behind the table.

Parking Information: Vendors should contact All  requests sent to us will be processed within two business days (excluding  holidays). Vendors must provide the operator's name, the company, the  vehicle information (Make/Model) and license plate number.  Campus Life is not responsible for parking tickets.
