During 1991-1992 academic year, a committee group of students, faculty and staff collaboratively designed the renovation of Marian Hall into the Student Center. The Board of Trusteess and other friends of the University funded the renovation. The building was dedicated on September 23, 1992.
The Student Center of the University of the Incarnate Word contributes directly to the university's mission of service, truth, faith, education, and innovation by providing a physical environment where educational, social and institutional needs of the whole community can be met through spaces for relaxation, study, recreation, and instruction, and by serving as a information and service center.
Ping pong and pool tables are set up in the Game Room next to the Student Center desk. Students can check out the equipment with their UIW student ID at the Student Center desk. Ping pong balls are 50¢. We now offer our gamers a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii for your enjoyment.
