The Panhellenic Alumnae Advisory Council (PAAC) is defined as a volunteer group of PHC sorority alumnae advisors and designated University of the Incarnate Word administrators

The PAAC was formed to offer a collaborative platform where university Greek advisors and advisors from each PHC chapter could interact to cultivate the UIW Greek Community. The PAAC is also responsible for aiding in the development of collegiate sorority women and improving the Greek experience of each member by:

  • Offering guidance and advocacy to the UIW Panhellenic Council
  • Offering support of university policies and procedures
  • Offering feedback and recommendations related to national, regional, and campus Greek issues and trends
  • Supporting positive interactions among Greek chapters and other campus groups

Veronica was a founding member of Delta Xi Nu, Multicultural Sorority in 2008 at UIW. She remained active until graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time at UIW, she served as President and countless other executive and chair positions. Veronica was a board member for the All Greek Council. Serving as the Alumnae Advisor for teh 16-17 year, veronica has continued to be active with the eta chapter and offer guidance. Veronica will receive her Masters in Business Administration from Texas A&M University - San Antonio in December 2016. She takes pride in empowering the ladies of Delta Xi Nu to reach their full potential. Veronica serves as the chair of the PAAC and hopes to work with the board to grow the Greek Life Community of UIW in a positive manner.

Mercedes MorenoMercedes Moreno

Mercedes is an alumna of the Zeta Sigma chapter at the University of the Incarnate Word and is currently the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at UIW. She has started her journey this past August at Our Lady of the Lake for her PhD of Philosophy in Leadership Studies. She is always looking ways to give back to her community and Alpha Sigma Alpha holding several positions; Treasurer for the Alpha Sigma Alpha - San Antonio Alumnae Chapter and Sorority Liaison for Girls on the Run Bexar County.

Nicole is originally from Taylor, MI and joined the Alpha Chapter of her Sorority in Fall of 2000. She received her Bachelors of Science in Public Administration with a Minor of Military Science. After graduation, Nicole continued her military career as a commissioned officer and served for a total of 10 years! In order to focus on family, she decided to get out of the military. She has traveled the world with her husband, and in Japan were blessed with their daughter Allison. Nicole's family later moved to San Antonio, Texas where she and other AST alumnae started the San Antonio Alumnae Association in hopes to promote sisterhood between alumnae and active members and continue to empower women to excel in life.  Nicole has served as Chapter Advisor to Alpha Sigma Tau Epsilon Eta and serves on the San Antonio Alumnae Panhellenic. Nicole is the Senior Coordinator for Student Success at San Antonio College. In June 2017, Nicole will graduate with a Master's of Science in Higher Education, specializing in Leadership & Student Success.

Maria is originally from Victoria, TX. Prior to attending UIW, she was in the Air Force for 10 years. Upon joining Delta Beta Chi in the Fall 2010, she held many chair and EC positions within the sorority. After graduation, she and other Delta Sigma Delta and Delta Beta Chi members formed The Delta Alumnae Association in order to promote relationship between active sorority members and alumnae. Maria has served as Delta Beta Chi advisor for almost 4 years. She is currently working towards her MBA and enjoys time with her 15 year old son.

Alyssa Alleyn is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and graduated from UIW in 2011. She has served as Chapter Advisor of Alpha Sigma Alpha at UIW and currently volunteers as an Advisory Board Liaison for ASA where she supports advisors from several states to effectively work with collegians. She also volunteers with Girls on the Run, a positive youth development program that empowers girls to be joyful, confident, and healthy. Professionally, she teaches 3rd and 4th grade reading.
