Tutor Employment

 

Each semester the Student Success Program hires 12-18 UIW students to tutor in the program’s Math & Writing Lab or to provide one-to-one tutoring.

Below are the Student Success Program requirements to be a tutor for the program:

• Must have junior ranking or higher
• Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 and higher in content area
• Must have some experience working with other students
• Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week

Beginning salaries range from $8.00 to $11.00 per hour depending on GPA and experience.

Very flexible work schedules are available for successful applicants.

If you are interested in applying to be a tutor for the Student Success Program, please fill out the Student Success Program Tutor Application Form and return it to the Student Success Program Office AD-115 along with an official transcript and have two of your faculty members complete the Tutor Recommendation Form.
