Wordstock 2006

The lazy days of summer are coming to an end and soon students throughout the city will return to the classroom. In celebration of the start of another great school year the University of the Incarnate Word will once again host the annual back to school bash, Wordstock on Saturday, Sept. 9 on the UIW campus.

The entire city is invited to the celebration which features food and beverage booths, games, live music and fun for the whole family. Faktion will headline the stellar lineup of musical entertainment which includes 51 Acres, 5 star and Anagen. All proceeds from the event benefit the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the San Antonio Educational Partnership and the University of the Incarnate Word Endowed Scholarship Fund.

You won’t want to miss the fun from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.  Sept. 9 on the UIW convocation/natatorium grounds (4301 Broadway). Admission is $5 for the general public.
