Overall Prerequisites Summary

To be considered for admission to the UIWSOM Master of Biomedical Sciences Program, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, specific prerequisites, and GRE or MCAT scores (or other pre-professional exam as appropriate).  Please refer to the information indicated below and within the subsequent pages for specific requirements.

Bachelor’s Degree

Completion of bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent verification in the case of international degrees prior to matriculation into the program. 

Prerequisite College Courses

A minimum cumulative science and cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on 4.0 scale must be achieved.

Prerequisite coursework is determined by the applicant's intended pathway- medical, dental, veterinary, etc. Prerequisite courses must be taken from an accredited college or university.  Each course must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. A grade of "C-" is not accepted.
