Thomas Schlenker, MD, MPH
Thomas Schlenker, MD, MPH - Dr. Schlenker is pediatric and public health faculty at University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Schlenker received his BA in political science from Antioch College, MD degree from Northwestern University MPH from Harvard School of Public Health and trained in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He practiced primary care and hospital-based pediatrics in Wisconsin, served as medical missionary to Chiapas, Mexico and Fulbright Senior Fellow at the National Institute of Public Health in Cuernavaca, Mexico. For over 20 years he as been a public health leader serving as local health officer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin, Salt Lake City, Utah and San Antonio, Texas. His published research includes studies and commentaries on measles, lead poisoning, infant mortality, diabetes and health care financing.
