Mary Anne Snyder, DO – Assistant Professor of Family Medicine

Dr. Mary Anne Snyder

Mary Anne Snyder, DO, joined Premise Health at the Toyota Family Health Center in 2016, in San Antonio, Texas.   There she provides primary care for patients of all ages, chronic disease management, preventive health care services, urgent care, women's health, work injuries, and osteopathic manipulative treatments.

She received her B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in Spanish at the University of Dallas. Then she completed a M.A. in Bioethics at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she went on to achieve her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Snyder completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX, where she went on to become the Administrative Chief Resident.

She enjoys serving the local community in free health clinics and health fairs, as well as the global community in medical outreach.  She has participated in medical trips to the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Honduras. Through the University of Panama Family Medicine Residency program, she was introduced to Tropical Medicine and healthcare in a different country.

Dr. Snyder is passionate about Family Medicine and she believes it is important to be a leader in her field and advocate for her profession. She does so by participating in clinical research and presenting them at conferences, doing quality improvement projects, advocating for changes in Washington D.C., and taking on leadership roles in her family medicine and osteopathic national and local chapters. In addition, she enjoys her part time teaching position at the University of the Incarnate Word and being a preceptor for students at her clinic.

She likes to bake macarons, go camping, and travel the world.
