Kevin E. Kalinowski, Ph.D., MPH, CPH
DIRECTOR OF ASSESSMENT, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Dr. Kalinowski joined UIWSOM in 2016 as the Director of Assessment and Program Evaluation and an Assistant Professor of Medical Education and Public Health. He is Co-Director of the Small Interactive Group Sessions (SIGS) curricular component implemented during the first two phases of the DO program. His responsibilities at UIWSOM also include assessment, evaluation, accreditation, and faculty development. Prior to moving back to Texas, he was a psychometrician at the Nation Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) in Chicago, where he co-managed the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Achievement Test (COMAT) program. In addition, Dr Kalinowski worked on the COMLEX-USA licensure examination series and the Portfolio and Expanded Assessments Task Force. Before NBOME, he was the psychometrician in the Center for Learning and Development at UNT Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth. Dr Kalinowski has a BS in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, an MS in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems and a PhD in Educational Research from the University of North Texas, and a MPH from UNT Health Science Center. He is also Certified in Public Health (CPH) by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
