Eric Stern, MD – Associate Professor/Director of CIELO

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/DIRECTOR OF CIELO

Eric Stern, MD - Dr. Eric Stern serves as an Associate Professor of Clinically Applied Science Education at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine.  In additional he serves as the Director of the Clinical Inter-Professional Experiential Learning and Observation Department (CIELO).  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree at the age of 18 from the Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia PA, where he also completed his residency training.  Dr. Stern specializes in Emergency Medicine with his subspecialty interests focusing on Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Critical Care air and ground transport. 

Prior to joining UIWSOM, Dr. Stern served as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Texas A&M University HSC College of Medicine and as a Senior Staff Attending at the McLane Children’s Hospital and Temple Memorial Hospital for over 7 years.  He remains committed to both undergraduate and graduate medical education focusing on the physiology of shock, and care of critically ill infants and young children.
