Carol S. Browne, DO
Dr. Browne is a Texas native born in Corpus Christi. She received her BA in biology at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and her DO degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth Texas (UNTHSC-TCOM). She completed her residency in Family Practice at the Fort Worth Osteopathic Medical Center and she is board certified in Family Medicine (FM) and Neuromusculoskeletal and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM).
Dr. Browne was a faculty member at UNTHSC-TCOM for ten years in both the Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine departments. She received several honors while on faculty including the Coleman Clinical Faculty of the Year, the Apple Award for Clinical Faculty of the Year, Honors Professor for Pre-Clinical Division, the Gender Equity Award, as well as the National Student Osteopathic Association, George Northrup Award for Osteopathic Educator of the Year. In addition to her teaching and clinical responsibilities at TCOM, she was a board member of the Texas American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Family Physicians (TxACOFP) and served on the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners COMLEX-Level 3 item construction and review committees.
For the last 17 years Dr. Browne has been in private practice in FM/OMM, in both Missouri and Florida.
Dr. Browne is very honored and excited to “come back home” to Texas joining the outstanding faculty at University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine.
