Amanda Chase, Ph.D.
Dr. Amanda J. Chase is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology in the Department of Applied Biomedical Sciences at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine.  She earned her B.S. in Microbiology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Ph.D. in Cellular Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  Prior to joining UIWSOM, she served four years as an Assistant Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine.  Dr. Chase’s research interests focus on how the human immune system responds to viral infections, including dengue, Zika, HIV and measles.
