SMARRT SCHOLARSHIPS
Candidates eligible for the SMARRT scholarships must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree;
- Have a GPA of 2.75 or above;
- Have 9-12 hours in Mathematics or Science;
- Be interested in teaching mathematics, science, or elementary school;
- Be admitted to the Dreeben School of Education’s Teacher Education Program;
- Be an American Citizen or have permanent residence status.
If you are interested, send the following:
- A letter of interest describing why teaching is the profession you would like to pursue;
- Official academic transcripts from ALL institutions attended- even if one transcript reflects all college work;
- Copy of official GRE scores with a minimum passing score of 400 (Verbal), 400 (Quantitative) and 3.5 (Analytical).
- THEA and/or TASP scores with a minimum passing score of 230 in the math, reading and writing sections. If you are currently a certified teacher the GRE scores will be accepted in leau of THEA/TASP scores.
