SMARRT MATH AND SCIENCE COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROJECT
University of the Incarnate Word will be awarding $1,000 stipends to 40 community college students interested in the area of mathematics and science who participate in three exciting new programs:
- Space Exploration: Trip to Johnson Space Center in Houston
- Marine Science: Trip to University of Texas Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas
- Astronomy: Trip to the University of Texas McDonald Observatory
Candidates eligible for the SMARRT Math and Science Community College Program must:
- Be attending a community college,
- Have an interest in math or science, and
- be an American citizen or have permanent residence status
Interested candidates should send the following:
- A letter of interest describing why you would to participate in the SMARRT program,
- A letter of reference from an instructor, and
- A copy of unofficial transcript.
