Dr. Rhonda Rapp, Director

Dr. Rhonda Rapp is the Director of Student Disability Services. She has worked in disability services for more than twenty-five years; most recently as a Disability Specialist at St. Philip’s College for the ten years prior to her moving to UIW. Dr. Rapp is also the Director of the Student Success Program, a TRIO/SSS program, at the University.

Dr. Rapp received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Oklahoma State University; a Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology with a specialty in Diagnostics from the University of Central Oklahoma University; and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Human Resource Development with a specialty in program development from Texas A&M University.

Cynthia Pino , Academic Counselor

Cynthia Pino has been the Academic Counselor of Student Disability Services since August 2007. She was previously employed with the McNair Scholars Program as the program secretary for two and a half years. Cynthia has been an outstanding member of the UIW community and we are excited to have her on board.

Cynthia is passionate about pursuing higher education and working with diverse populations. In May 2007, she graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) with a B.S. in Psychology. She is currently working on an M.A. in Social work at UTSA.
