Moisés J. Torrescano , Director
The Office director for Student Disability Services is Mr. Moisés J. Torrescano. Mr. Torrescano is also director of Academic Advising. Before joining Incarnate Word, Mr. Torrescano served as assistant affirmative action officer at The Pennsylvania State University. In this capacity, one of Mr. Torrescano’s responsibilities was to monitor compliance with the American with Disabilities Act and investigate complaints of discrimination because of handicap, race, gender, age, religious affiliation and national origin. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Washington State University and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from Penn State University.

Carrie Dixon, Academic Counselor
Carrie Dixon is the new Academic Counselor for the Office of Student Disability Services. Ms. Dixon transferred from the Office of Financial Assistance where she worked as an advisor for over 3 and a half years. Her previous advising experience will be extremely helpful to our staff and students. Ms. Dixon received her B.A. in Communication Arts from California State University, San Bernardino. She is currently working on a Masters of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Organizational Development from UIW. Ms. Dixon is excited to be a part of the Student Disability Services staff.
