Research Development

Research Week

Since 2008, the School of Graduate Studies and Research, the Office of Research Development, and the Department of Instructional Technology have collaborated to provide a vibrant forum for University-wide research. The event welcomes submissions from both faculty and students and has grown annually, developing from a single day's event into the week long celebration we experienced this year.

As a laboratory of liberal education, UIW's research enterprise provides for the development of critical thinking skills, problem solving, interdisciplinary perspectives, and a social and moral orientation that informs the questions explored and their applications to the world in which we live.

As a result of a broad spectrum of work in higher education and by the significant achievements of faculty and students, UIW enjoys a special place in the world of academia. The research presented not only showcases disciplinary accomplishment but serves to illustrate UIW's commitment to academic excellence.
