Facilities and Maps

Commencement is held at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters. The ceremonies begin with the Baccalaureate Mass, held in the Fine Arts Auditorium, and conclude with conferral of degrees in the Convocation Center. The maps below provide direction to the two facilities as well as the physical layout of the buildings during the events.

Driving directions:

Fine Arts Auditorium:

The Fine Arts Auditorium is located on the corner of Broadway and Hildebrand on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word.

From 281: Take the Hildebrand exit and turn east on to Hildebrand. Drive east on Hildebrand until you reach the intersection at Broadway. Turn left on Broadway. The first entrance to the campus from Broadway will be on your left. Once you enter the campus, the building on the left is the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Convocation Center:

The Convocation Center is the gymnasium used for athletic and social events. It is located on the back of the campus, across the bridge, adjacent to the Natatorium and in front of the softball diamond.

From 281: Take the Hildebrand exit and turn east on to Hildebrand. Drive east on Hildebrand until you reach the first intersection to the campus (there will be a traffic signal). Turn left onto the campus and immediately turn left again.. Follow the street, turning right at the dead-end. You will come to a stop sign in front of the parking garage. Cross the bridge in front of you and follow the street until you see a large building on your right (the Natatorium) and a large building in front of you (the Convocation Center).
