Provost Committees: University Planning Commission

Member of the university-wide committee of representatives from virtually all major academic and support offices, the Provost provides experienced counsel on university-wide activities and monitors reporting on the effectiveness of a variety of initiatives.

  • UPC Goal Chairs Committee. Responsible for a specific goal under the University Strategic Plan, the Provost is a member of the committee of chairpersons who are responsible for each of the university’s strategic goals. One of the major responsibilities of this position is to report progress in goal attainment to the President and the UPC.
  • Assessment Committee. A member of the committee that provides objective assessment of university academic programs, established in a formal goal under the University Strategic Plan. The work of the Assessment Committee is available to authorized university personnel through the university Blackboard Site here.
