Mission: UIW Prep is committed to academic excellence and social justice by providing faith-based educational opportunities to the global community to prepare young men and women for higher education and a lifetime of service to their communities and nations.

Affiliations: Member of the University of the Incarnate Word Brainpower connection composed of two campus-based elementary schools, two campus-based high schools and one virtual school (UIW Prep).

Supervising Organizations: University of the Incarnate Word and the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.

Student/Teacher Ratio: 15:1

Grade Levels: 9-12; Full-Time and Part Time.

Faculty: The teaching staff consists of 13 faculty members; 2 have bachelor’s degrees, 9 have master’s degrees and two have doctoral degrees.

Campus: Virtual

Curriculum: UIW Prep offers 34 core courses/electives; 21 honors/pre-AP courses; 11 AP courses; and 13 dual credit courses through the University of the Incarnate Word. Students must earn 26 credits in a specified program for graduation.

Service: Full time students must earn 25 service hours each year they are enrolled.

Accreditation: UIW Prep is accredited through AdvancEd - Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
