The GRE is required for all Entry-Level Doctor of Physical Therapy applicants. It is an important aspect of the admissions file and serves as a consistent measure that can be used to compare applicants with one another. For these reasons, prospective students should dedicate adequate time to properly prepare for the exam.
GRE score of 150 for each component (quantitative and verbal) is highly recommended. The Verbal GRE score is a strong predictor of success in the program!
Official GRE scores must be sent to the University of the Incarnate Word via PTCAS using code 0341. Scores sent directly to The School of Physical Therapy will not be accepted, nor will applicant reported scores. Careful attention should be paid to ensure test scores are received prior to the admissions deadline. GRE scores are valid for five years. Additional information about the GRE, including how to sign up, can be found at www.ets.org/gre.
