Every fall and spring, students have the opportunity to connect with alumni and chat about the latest campus news and events during UIW's Phonathon. While giving Alumni updates on the latest UIW happenings, students will learn valuable information and tips about how to make their time at UIW as memorable as possible from those that have been there before.
Phonathon is an annual UIW event held to raise funds for student scholarships, technology upgrades and various student activities. No experience is needed to participate and every student caller is provided with a script to get the conversation started. Best of all, Phonathon is an opportunity for you to earn community service hours, a requirement for graduation, and potential secure student employment for the remainder of the year!
Don't take it from us, below are testimonials from previous & current Phonathon volunteers & student employees who have found great benefits in participating in this event.
"I was really shy at talking to people so I thought this would help get me out of my shell a little bit. I really like the atmosphere and everyone is so friendly and warm." - Nicole Erfurth '14, Computer Information Systems (CSI) major
"My favorite thing about Phonathon is being able to have a conversation with UIW alumni and hearing their stories and advice. Being able to talk about my academic career and my goals for the future to the alumni is refreshing because they get excited in hearing about my personal ambitions." - Meagan Guerra '13, Finance major
