Dr. Witte joins the Feik School of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. Witte received her Pharm.D. degree from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in May 2004.  She completed an ASHP-accredited residency in Pharmacy Practice at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX in June 2005 and an ASHP-accredited residency in Primary Care at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in July 2006.  During her residency years, Dr. Witte was appointed as a Clinical Instructor with The University of Texas College of Pharmacy and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She is also currently employed on the weekends as a community pharmacist with Walgreens.

Dr. Witte is a member of several professional organizations, including American Pharmacists Association (AphA), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists (TSHP), and Central Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists (CTSHP). She serves as treasurer for CTSHP. Her specialty practice and research interests are in metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and anemia of chronic kidney disease.
