Dr. Vanessa G. Phillips. joins the Feik School of Pharmacy as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, serving Haven for Hope.

Dr. Phillips received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wilkes University, located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 2005. After graduation she worked as a retail pharmacist for CVS/Pharmacy. In 2007 she made the transition to clinical pharmacy with ExcelleRx, located in Philadelphia, Pa.  She served as a palliative care clinician for hospice patients providing end-of-life treatment.  She focused on medication error prevention through various educational programs, as well as collaboration with hospice nurses to develop patient specific therapy plans.  In 2009, Dr. Phillips also began working for Target, Inc. as a retail pharmacist.  She has completed certificate training in administering immunizations through the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). 

Dr. Phillips is a member of several professional organizations including the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society. Her areas of interest include outcomes-based research and access to healthcare. In addition. Dr. Phillips serves on TSHP's Council on Professional Affairs for the 2011-2012 year.
