Feik School of Pharmacy

Science LabThe program, is a 2 + 4 program of study leading to a Pharm. D. degree.  This means that the successful applicant will have completed a minimum of two years of preprofessional studies.  The required course outline can be found in the Pre-Pharmacy information on this site.

After completion of the pre-Pharmacy core, students will be minimally prepared to start the professional core.  Students who have already completed a four-year degree are also eligible and encouraged to apply for admission.  They must also complete the science courses to be eligible for consideration.

Admission to Professional Level in Feik School of Pharmacy:

The Office of Student Affairs of the Feik School of Pharmacy will help you plan for the admissions process for the professional program.  We recommend that you visit this site regularly for updates on the Feik School of Pharmacy and admissions.

All students, including UIW Pre-pharmacy students, must apply for admission to the Professional program using the Feik School of Pharmacy application form.  

You will need the following items for a completed application to be considered:

ALL DIRECTIONS SHOULD BE READ AND FOLLOWED EXPLICITLY.  DOWNLOAD ALL MATERIALS PRIOR TO SUBMITTING APPLICATION.  ALL INFORMATION AND APPLICATION MATERIALS MUST BE SENT IN THE SAME ENVELOPE.

Minimum eligibility is 2.5 overall GPA from all colleges and universities attended and 2.5 GPA in all science/math prerequisite courses.  All prerequisite coursework must be completed prior to entry into the professional program.

Selected candidates will be invited for a required, on-campus interview. 

Applicants will be notified of status in April. The successful applicant who wishes to reserve a seat in the class must send, on receipt of acceptance letter, a $500 deposit. Once the deposit and a signed letter of ascent is received by the School of Pharmacy, the reservation is completed.  $400 of this non-refundable fee is applied to tuition.

PCAT Requirement -

PCAT is required for application.  Please see the Harcourt Assessment, Inc. website www.pcatweb.info for appropriate application, testing dates and payment deadlines.  UIW site # 0705.

Pharmacy Observational Experience Required-     

A pharmacist-signed affidavit of completed 80 hours of pharmacy observational experience is required for entrance into the professional program.  Although the documentation of pharmacy observational experience is not required as part of the application packet, it is encouraged.  Receipt of the documentation of these hours is required in the Pharmacy office by August  1 for the incoming class. All documentation must be kept on the following forms:
