The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) was founded in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word with a mission of service and education. UIW is a private Catholic university bringing faculty and students together in a nurturing environment promoting life-long learning and fostering the development of the whole person.

These medicines can pose a risk to the environment when flushed or dumped in a landfill. Removing these medi­cations from homes can also help curb abuse and avoid accidental ingestion. Bring any unwanted medicines along with other household hazardous waste items to the City of San Antonio’s mobile collection events to dispose of them for free.
