Cynthia Franklin holds the position of Research Associate for Dr. Helmut Gottlieb in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her research is on the central nervous system-regulation of cardiovascular and renal function,with responsibilities for: performing animal surgery, behavioral testing, biochemical assays, molecular biology, data management, data analysis, lab supply ordering, and budget monitoring.

Cynthia was born and raised in Butte, Montana and came to San Antonio to pursue her college and research career. Cynthia currently holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. With over 7 years’ experience in research, she is presently working on a Masters in Clinical Laboratory Investigation, at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
