Dr. Cynthia Villarreal joins the Feik School of Pharmacy as IPPE Coordinator and faculty in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. Villarreal is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. While a student at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, Dr. Villarreal was actively involved in several student organizations. Dr. Villarreal strongly encourages current students to participate in organizations as an avenue to explore the vast opportunities available to graduates of pharmacy.

After graduation, Dr. Villarreal accepted a position at CVS/Caremark Pharmacy as a Doctor Calls Pharmacist. As a Doctor Calls Pharmacist, Dr. Villarreal communicated with physicians, nurses, and fellow colleagues in regards to concerns relating to patient drug therapy. While at CVS/Caremark, Dr. Villarreal also worked with the Strategic Design and Process Team to assist and provide insight in regards to process improvements for the Doctor Calls department and the company.

Dr. Villarreal is a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Bexar County Pharmacy Association, Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Central Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International and Community Bible Church. Dr. Villarreal spends the majority of her leisure time with her daughter Bella.
