RENEE BELLANGER

Dr. Bellanger is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy.  She was tenured in 2011.  She teaches in a variety of courses at the Feik School of Pharmacy including pharmacotherapeutics and elective studies in nutrition, herbal supplements, and women's health. She proctors introductory and advanced clinical experience rotations for pharmacy students in pediatrics at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Bellanger is licensed in Texas and Louisiana. She received a B.S. in pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Pharm.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Harris Hospital -Methodist in Fort Worth, TX and a residency in pediatric pharmacy practice at the University of Oklahoma. She has maintained board certification in Nutrition Support Pharmacy since 1992.

Dr. Bellanger has extensive experience in hospital pharmacy administration, clinical pharmacy management and directing pharmacy residency experiences for domestic and international pharmacists. Her specialty practice interests are in pediatrics, women's health, neonatology, nutrition and complementary medicine. She was installed into the Alpha Epsilon chapter of the Kappa Epsilon fraternity. She is a member of AACP, ACCP, APhA, ASPEN, Phi Lambda Sigma, Rho Chi, Kappa Epsilon, TSHP and CTSHP.
