TJ comes to the Feik School of Pharmacy of UIW from Daymon Worldwide where she was involved intensely in research and development of new products for HEB corporation

She boasts of being a Native Texan born in Austin, Texas. She spent her early years in Brownwood, Texas where she attended Howard Payne University. She brings over 20 years experience in office administration and organizational development and logistics. Her husband and she are very involved in the neighborhood ministry of their church.

ROSALINDA VILLARREAL

Secretary to Pharmacy Practice

Rosalinda, with over 20 years of administrative/secretarial experience, joined the staff at the University of the Incarnate Word in June 2004, as secretary to The McNair Scholars Program.  In July 2005, during its installation phase, she transitioned over to The Feik School of Pharmacy as the Secretary to the Department of Student Affairs and presently holds the position of Secretary to the Department of Pharmacy Practice.  Prior to joining UIW she served as Administrative Assistant to the CFO at the Diocese of Galveston/Houston and Secretary to the Catechetical Center for the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Rosalinda, a native of San Antonio, resided in the Houston area for 22 years where she gained her experience working in the secretarial arena of: Insurance, Offshore Technology, Chemical packaging, Building Management, Accounting and Finance.

She has served as committee member to the UIW Mission Retreat Advisory Council under the direction of Sr. Audrey O’Mahony since August of 2005.

DIANA SALAZAR

Secretary to Pharmaceutical Sciences

Diana was born and raised in San Antonio Texas.  After a number of years in the corporate sector and the higher education institutions, she assumed her current position at Feik School of Pharmacy in January 2007.   She has been with the University of the Incarnate Word since 2001.

Diana is currently enrolled with the School of Extended Studies at the University of the Incarnate Word and is a candidate for graduation in August 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology of Organizational Development.   

Diana is a member of the International Administrative Assistant Professionals (IAAP), served as Co-Chair for the Fiesta Oyster Bake, and as Fiesta Commission Volunteer since 1992. Her interests include traveling, movies, theatre and concerts.  Diana and her husband, Henry enjoy dancing, Fiesta and going to the UT football games.

CINDY NORWOOD

Secretary to Academic Affairs

With a strong background in administrative positions, Cindy comes to the Feik School of Pharmacy after working most recently as a medical assistant for 3 ½ years with an Internal Medicine group in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  Moving to San Antonio recently, she is excited to be living in the city where her parents and sisters live and working in a positive and professional spiritual atmosphere.

Like TJ, Cindy also attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas.  Married for 32 years to an Army Chaplain she lays claim to moving to 16 cities and living in 23 different homes during their marriage and anxiously looks forward to the day when there will be no more moves.

This past year she took up jogging and has completed a 5K race, a 10K race and a half-marathon.  However, her greatest joy is her three grown children and four grandchildren.

BRENDA DIMAS

Secretary to Experiential Programs

Brenda M. Dimas is a native of San Antonio.  She has been with the University of the Incarnate Word since August of 2001.   She worked for the Student Success Program, in the Academic Advising Center area.   She was delighted to come over to the Feik School of Pharmacy and become secretary to the Assistant Dean of Experiential Programs in June of 2007.  Prior to her employment with UIW, Brenda worked as an administrative secretary at Trinity University for 15 years.

Brenda was appointed to the Mission Retreat Advisory Board in 2001 working with the Mission Effectiveness Office. She is also a trained Campus Mediator.  Brenda is active in her church, St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, where she serves on the church festival committee, St. Benedict’s Women’s ACTS ministry, and as a Minister of the Word.

Brenda has two daughters, Brianna Marie, age 18, a senior at Incarnate Word High School, and Abbey Catherine, age 8, in second grade at St. Peter’s Catholic School.  She has been married to her husband Robert for 24 years.

MONICA DEKKERS

Monica Dekkers was previously employed with the University of the Incarnate Word in the 1980’s and returned “home” to the FEIK School of Pharmacy the summer of 2007. She has worked for three universities and several international corporations in the tri-county area bringing over 32 years of research, database, and office management experience.

“I am excited to come back to UIW and become involved again in helping students achieve their dream of a quality education. The FEIK School of Pharmacy is on the cutting edge for those students who strive for academic excellence and the faculty and staff are beyond reproach!”

COPHRA A. RECTOR

Receptionist / SNPhA Secretary

Mrs. Rector  comes to the Feik School of Pharmacy with over 20 years of combined work experience in planning, organizing, implementing, initiatives and programs: managing various campaigns: coordinating, and facilitating an array of unique events working with diverse groups that span the gamut of cultures, race, gender, age, etc., from community outreach programs to faith-based functions to politics, herein. She has a distinct proven track record of communicative as well as networking skills, leadership capabilities and creative and innovative ideas that together bring tremendous value to our city and now UIW.

Mrs. Rector currently serves as the National Executive Assistant for the SNPhA, Student National Pharmaceutical Association, at the Feik School of Pharmacy at the University of Incarnate Word, where she is responsible for maintaining numerous databases associated with the professional development of Pharmacy students around the country at the post-graduate level as well as coordinate special events for the school.

She was born in one of the most beautiful ocean communities in San Diego, CA. When she was six years old, her family moved to San Antonio, TX.  She attended San Antonio Independent School District schools and graduated from Sam Houston High School. She then attended Bauder Fashion College in Arlington, TX and earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design. Later, she earned a BBA Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word.  She went forward to earn a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development from Webster University.

Mrs. Rector is the widow of the late Pastor John Joseph Rector, Sr., of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Her parents and he always encouraged her educational pursuits which resulted in her receiving her successful achievements and degrees.  Mrs. Rector remains an active member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her beloved Pastor, the Reverend Doctor E. Thurman Walker. 

As a Silver Star member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Mrs. Rector is a leader in her community and a mentor to many of San Antonio's young women. She exemplifies grace, elegance and an unwavering support of her late husband's legacy and her personal belief in the pursuit of Excellence!  She shares her experiences by teaching young women the social graces required to be a First Lady and a Lady first in their deportment and the pursuit of their goals. 

Mrs. Rector has organized several mentoring and fundraising efforts to compliment her dreams for young people.  She established the Ladies of Dignity at Sam Houston High School in her community and The Friends of Sam Houston High School Breakfast is now in its 7th year as a major community event used to promote community involvement in the school's extra-curricular as well as academic endeavors. 

Her pride and Joy is her wonderful son John Joseph Rector, III who is a graduate of Virginia Union University and Pastor of one of San Antonio's fastest growing young congregations, beautiful daughter-in-law, Jodie Marie and her loveable, gregarious grandsons, John Joseph IV and Javieon Maurice...

Mrs. Rector’s life motto is: Allow the Lord to Lead your Life and Always find the best in Others.
