Dr. Cynthia N. Nguyen is the Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, at the Feik School of Pharmacy. She currently is working with other health disciplines at the University of the Incarnate Word to enhance an interprofessional education model and clinical site that allows students an opportunity to be a part of a patient-centered, collaborative healthcare team.
Dr. Nguyen completed her undergraduate work at the University of Texas in Austin in 2007 and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy in 2011. Prior to joining as full-time faculty, she worked as a community pharmacist for Walgreens and was an adjunct faculty member for the IPECP team.
Dr. Nguyen serves as the faculty advisor for the Epsilon Beta Chapter of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. and co-advisor for the Gamma Xi Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society (PLS). Additionally, she is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), American Public Health Association (APHA), and The Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society. Dr. Nguyen is also a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), and her areas of interest include health informatics, interprofessional education, and public health.
