Dr. McClain graduated from Purdue University with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015. She recently completed an ASHP accredited Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency in The Houston Program at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. Along with this program, she completed her Master’s in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.
She joined the Feik School of Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word in 2017. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the department of Pharmacy Practice where she leads the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program in collaboration with pharmacies in San Antonio and the surrounding regions.
Dr. McClain is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) where she serves on the New Practitioners Forum as an Advisory Group Lead, Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP), Phi Delta Chi, and Rho Chi. Her areas of interest include pediatrics, pharmacy management and leadership, servant leadership, and medication therapy management.
