Dr. Bethany Kalich is an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy, an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a clinical pharmacy specialist at the University Health System in San Antonio. She practices in the area of cardiology, including the critical care unit and cardiology clinic.
Dr. Kalich attended Texas A&M University as an undergraduate, and then received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011 from the Feik School of Pharmacy. She completed a pharmacy practice residency and a critical care specialty residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with added qualifications in cardiology.
Dr. Kalich is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI) and holds various leadership positions in these organizations.
Dr. Kalich’s practice and research interests include cardiac critical care, patient health-literacy, student self-regulation/intrinsic motivation and student critical thinking/clinical reasoning.
