Video Tutorial Available: Edit a Page

After clicking through to edit a page, the green 'Edit Content Area' and 'Edit' buttons show the editable regions of a page that you have access to modify. The editable region buttons are shown when clicking Edit > Pages from the Pages list view, or when otherwise navigating to the edit mode for a page, and clicking Edit from the Page Actions toolbar.

Access to Editable Regions

The following examples show editable regions for the UIW two- and three-column layouts.

Once you are inside an editable region you should see the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor. The WYSIWYG editor allows for a similar experience to editing a page with a word processor.

Many of the editing tasks for a page such as inserting images and links, applying formatting such as bold, italic, and spell checking a page can be accomplished from within the WYSIWYG using the toolbar.

One item that is not represented on the toolbar, but is available from within the WYSIWYG is the ability to save while editing a page with the keyboard shortcut CTRL+S (PC), COMMAND+S (MAC). This offers users the ability to save the page without clicking the usual save icon that ends the editing session. Save-in-place saves the page and allows the user to continue editing. After you save you should see the green success message at the bottom of the screen.

Page Properties

Page properties are where page titles, page names (grey title bar on page), descriptions, and other meta information are set for your pages. Additional options allow for turning on and off the slider, and turning on and off responsive design.
